10th edition of ANIMASYROS International Animation Festival + Agora Hermoupolis in Syros island
The Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Greece, in cooperation with Film Fund Luxembourg participated to the 10th edition of ANIMASYROS International Animation Festival + Agora Hermoupolis, which took place from September 27th to October 1st, 2017 in Syros island, Cyclades. On behalf of Luxembourg, the following films were screened with great success. Extraordinary Tales, Two by Two..Ooops The Ark has gone….!, Mr. Hublot, Emilie, The Light Eater, Wurst, Rose&Violet, Una furtiva lagrima.
The main thematic of this year’s edition was dedicated to the current European narrative as depicted in 28 animated films from the respective EU Member States. Luxembourg was represented at the Tribute with the Film Wurst by Carlo Vogele, who was also present at the Festival. In addition, he presented during the festival his work in progress Icarus . Other representatives at the festival from the Animation industry of Luxembourgwere the Producer Stephan Roelants, who gave a masterclass and Norbert Laporte, on behalf of Film Fund Luxembourg.
Animasyros 10 celebrated its 10th anniversary and welcomed more than 7000 visitors. More info @ www.animasyros.gr
