Official Visit of the President of the Chamber of Deputies Claude Wiseler and Parliamentary Delegation to Romania

From 8 to 10 December 2025, Claude Wiseler, President of the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies, led a delegation to Romania for high-level meetings. He was accompanied by Fernand Etgen, Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies; Taina Bofferding, Member of the Executive Bureau; Gusty Graas, Chair of the Committee for Foreign and European Affairs and José Quintus, Deputy Head of Mission and Consul of Luxembourg to Romania.

The delegation met with the President of Romania, Nicușor Dan; the President of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean; the Vice-President of the Chamber of Deputies, Natalia-Elena Intotero; and the Prime Minister, Ilie Bolojan. Discussions focused on European defense, support for Ukraine, migration, and combating disinformation. The visit also included a tour of the Cincu military base, highlighting Luxembourg’s contribution to NATO’s multinational battlegroup and reaffirming its commitment to EU and NATO solidarity.
