Ambassador Paul Schmit Meets with President of the Hellenic Parliament
On 6 November 2025, the Ambassador of Luxembourg to Greece, Mr. Paul Schmit, was received by the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Nikitas Kaklamanis. The President welcomed the Ambassador and wished him success in his new role.

Both sides reaffirmed the strong ties between Greece and Luxembourg, emphasizing shared values and cooperation within NATO and the EU. They agreed on the importance of strengthening interparliamentary relations, especially through Parliamentary Friendship Groups.
President Kaklamanis was also presented with a book on Edward Steichen, the renowned Luxembourg-born photographer, as a token of cultural appreciation.
The meeting included a discussion of the upcoming visit of Mr. Claude Wiseler, President of Luxembourg’s Chamber of Deputies, to Athens. Ambassador Konstantinos Oikonomidis, Diplomatic Advisor to the President, was also present.
